Barn conversion

An old crumbling Devonshire dairy gets a new lease of life

Starting with a blank canvas is a designer's dream. And when the canvas is complete with four double bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a huge open plan double storey living area, the dream comes true.

The Shippon started life as a Victorian dairy, and then a shelter for cows and calves. With some TLC, it has become a luxury holiday cottage with bespoke interiors, bursting with playfulness, including a life-sized cow called Ermintrude!

Fancy a trip away?

The Shippon is sandwiched between Dawlish on the south Devon coast and the wilds of Dartmoor. This luxury converted barn, nestled in a lush green valley, is the perfect antidote to the hectic mayhem of everyday life.

It can accommodate eight people. There are four double rooms, two of which can be converted into twins, and four bathrooms, plus a huge beautiful open-plan living area, complete with high-end kitchen, vaulted ceilings and beams.
